The Androscoggin River Watershed Council is working with the Mahoosuc Land Trust and Maine Audubon to welcome the public to a series of workshops about Beginning With Habitat, a program that brings maps and information about wildlife and habitat to local communities and landowners to consider when making decisions about development and conservation.

The second workshop, the Stewardship Forum, will feature two guest speakers.  Larry Ely, member of the Mahoosuc Land Trust and the ARWC, will discuss various types of conservation easements and share his experience of conserving his own land.  Paul Carmichael of the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service will discuss the federal incentive programs for conservation.

All are welcome - outdoorspeople, landowners, town officials, and anyone interested in protecting land and wildlife are encouraged to attend.

Register online or call (207) 754-8158.  A light dinner will be provided. Please spread the word!

The workshops will take place at the UMaine 4H Camp and Learning Center's new Lakeside Lodge in Bryant Pond, Maine. Click here for directions.
